Poker Rules... Poker, like many other other hazard games, has an objective to win the pot. That's why poker rules are to great extent similar to many other gambling rules. IThe main rule among poker rules is that the pot accumulates all the money as players who remain in the game keep raising their bets. One can not start playing poker without knowledge of poker rules. Learning poker rules is a starting point for every poker beginner.

Under to the poker rules, the winner of the game is the player with the highest hand at the end of the game; he wins the pot. The poker rules provide two ways to win, by holding the highest poker hand in the game, or by making your opponents think you've got the highest hand-in, which everyone else folds leaving you to win the pot.

Poker games start with preparational moves of shuffle and deck cutting. After this, the players perform ante procedure before the dealer deals a card. To ante means that each poker player should put a small amount of money, usually a percentage of the minimum bet, into the pot. Poker games are played with colored poker chips corresponding to different pieces of money. The dealer is responsible for dealing each round.

The different types of the game require different poker rules. The main two different types of poker games are draw poker and stud poker.

In draw poker five cards are dealt singly, face down and in rotation, to each player who has paid an ante to the pot before play began. Once a player has opened the betting, the others must call the opening player's bet to stay in the game. In jackpots, perhaps the commonest variety of draw poker, a player must have at least a pair of jacks to open.

In stud poker, sometimes called open poker, each player is dealt singly one card down (the hole card) and one card face up. The player with the highest card showing starts a betting interval. After all players have completed their betting, another card is dealt face up. After the final betting interval, the hole cards are exposed and the highest hand wins.

Both types of poker games can involve either five or seven cards, and can be played in one of two ways: high or high/low. The poker rules for playing high mean that the highest hand wins the pot. In acse a poker game is played under high/low poker rules, the pot is split between the player with the highest poker hand and the another one with the lowest hand.
